HOT PINK PENNY ASHTON

Penny has been writing and performing her own comedy and poetry for over ten years.  With it she has been nominated for the Billy T James Award, Best NZ Comedienne, The People’s Choice Award at the Adelaide Fringe and actually won something as Best Performance by an International Poet at the London Farrago Awards in 2012. She can craft a short set of 15 minutes or up to a 2 hour show filled with laughs, poems, songs, ukulele, stand-up, bad language and bad behaviour.

She has performed poetry all over New Zealand, plus in Adelaide, Edinburgh, across Canada and through the UK, New York, LA, Seattle, Singapore, Germany, Perth, Melbourne and at the Glastonbury Festival.  She represented NZ in a poetry slam tour of the UK and has hosted numerous comedy shows and burlesque performances by injecting some pink rhyming sparkle.
